Clinical Pilates

CLINICAL PILATES

Clinical Pilates encourages healthy movement, core stabilisation and posture correction to help you reach your potential without pain or aggravation. In contrast to many exercise regimes, it’s about the quality of movement, not the quantity.

Whether you’re an athlete making high physical demands of your body, or someone seeking rehabilitation following injury, Rhiann’s bespoke programmes offer safe and appropriate exercise solutions, all developed in conjunction with chartered physiotherapists.

BalletFit is now working in conjunction with London Sports Orthopaedics; taking patient referral from the hip, knee and foot specialists. I will be working with their patients, from the top sporting clubs in the UK, to aid recovery from injury and maximise their performance as athletes.

Back Care

BACK CARE

Working long hours in a stressful environment combined with poor posture can often result in aches and pains, typically in the lower back. In fact, back pain is the most common cause of long-term sickness in the UK. According to the Office for National Statistics (ONS), who conducted a work-based survey in 2014, around 31 million days of work were lost in 2013 due to back, neck and muscle problems. And while minor illnesses such as colds accounted for 27 million lost days, musculoskeletal conditions are more likely to recur, developing into long-term conditions.

Back Care has been specifically designed by Rhiann Keys to look at ways of easing pain and working towards more healthy movement and posture. It is offered directly to city-based corporations, and gives employees tailored programmes to help them exercise safely and make the adjustments necessary to ensure a healthy, productive and pain-free working day.

Guided Meditation

THE ULTIMATE INNER STILL

Claire originally trained and worked as a professional ballerina until injury forced her to change direction. Her first job in the commercial industry was performing with Kylie Minogue and Justin Timberlake at the MTV European Music Awards and she never looked back. With a career spanning over 15 years Claire has worked with some of the biggest artists of our time. Her career hit the ground running and she performed own almost every tv & award show here in the UK & in Europe as well as performing on many sell out arena tours around the world.

Unfortunately the lifestyle eventually caught up with Claire in the form of breast cancer at the tender age of 30. Knowing that her lifestyle needed a complete reboot Claire turned to the world of wellness to forge a new life. With open arms and nothing left to lose Claire dove head first into the world of modern holistic healing and tried absolutely every thing she could! Believe me when I say she’s tried it all! But what she found to be the most healing for her, along side a clean eating diet was the simple practices of yoga and meditation.

Now 3 years later still in remission Claire finds much joy in bringing peace, tranquility and relaxation into the chaotic world of others. Finding time to allow yourself to switch off the noise and be still is not only good for your soul but also of the up most importance for your physical health.

'Meditation brings wisdom; lack of meditation leaves ignorance. Know well what leads you forward and what holds you back, and choose the path that leads to wisdom'. –Buddha

Inner Still

We can not find peace in the outer world until we find peace with
ourselves
— Dalai Lama

Ballet Fit is pleased to now be offering personalised de-stressing mindfulness packages to teach you techniques to promote a mental quiet and inner balance.

The use of Mindfulness practices has received much attention in the UK, Europe and the United States, and is recognised as an effective and successful, approach to reduce personal stress and anxiety.

Mindfulness is achieved by focusing your own awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting your feelings and thoughts, controlling your inner emotions and enabling you to remove worry or negative thoughts about the past or future.

Regular practice of Mindfulness can help you to:

  • learn to cope better with pressure
  • recognise the thoughts and judgements you make, often subconsciously,
  • that generate more stress
  • find balance and a sense of calm
  • enable productivity

Ballet Fit offer bespoke packages which include:

  • an initial one-on-one 45 minute consultation
  • personally tailored daily exercises
  • morning & evening meditations
  • movement meditations
  • personalised yoga practices
  • A weekly review and evaluation meeting via Skype
